HiL Test Automation of the complete Level 2 Software of an automotive Transmission Control Unit

In an automotive automatic transmission ECU the end customer decides to add a completely new supervising software component in order to comply to the ISO26262 safety standard. At the same time KENOTOM gets the contract to design a complete HiL test automation solution offering 100% coverage of the safety requirements for this component.
Kenotom Solution
In close cooperation with the SW developers of the customer, Kenotom starts analyzing the existing Safety Requirements, writing the test specifications and implementing the automatic test scripts. Testing and test-automation run in parallel with the development. Several errors and bugs are discovered before the complete integration. Full regression tests run guarantee that the integrated SW Components work as expected. The whole range of the supervising software is tested: signal acquisition, signal processing and detection and reaction. A customer specific Python based platform is used. Modifications in the platform to adopt functionalities that are missing are also performed.
